WP7: Dissemination and exploitation of results

Aims

To target information and results to individuals and organisations with the appropriate and clearly identified user needs.

To ensure that the project results and outcomes reach those who will recognise their worth and act upon them (e.g. Statutory medical licensing, certifying and training bodies).

To maximise the sustainability of the project results

Start/finish date (overall duration)

October 07 - October 09.

Role and tasks of partners involved

MedicVision will lead this WP and all partners will participate. MedicVision will apply their substantial experience of marketing medical simulation training devices and training programme development across Europe. This has entailed interaction with many of Europe's leading medical education centres. The University of Pecs and CUH each are active participants in their national training programmes in anaesthesia. Thus they are well positioned to present the rationale for and results of this project to their respective professional bodies. For instance, the Training Committee of the College of Anaesthetists in Ireland has invited the applicants to present the interim and final reports of this project to their members. The IDC will establish a website to offer regular progress reports. UniGraz will present the results to a non-medical education community, thereby demonstrating the potential for new valid applications of CbKST.

Working methods and techniques

Within two months of commencing the project, the project management team will produce a Project Dissemination and Exploitation Plan which will be implemented throughout the life of the project and maximise the likelihood of integration of CAP into medical training programmes thereafter. It will be tailored to achieve recognition of the project by group with the defined user needs and will include:

- Development and maintenance of a project Web page
- Regular reporting of the ongoing project activities at appropriate European conferences
- Enlargement of the network by involving other institutions and organisations outside the project e.g. European Society of Anaesthesiology, European Society of Regional Anaesthesia
- Organisation of an open demonstration workshop for project results as a satellite to a major European conference.
- Publication of individual project components in peer review journals

Quality management tools

The Expert Advisory Group will offer strategic direction to maximize the impact of dissemination activities. Through the website and presentations, we will solicit feedback to the project coordinator and local coordinators.
